I Heart Autumn...

Autumn brings so many great things.  I've had to take a short hiatus from my knitting orders to enjoy it without stressing out.  I love the leaves changing colour and the sound of the fallen leaves crunching under my feet before they get damp from the rain.

I love the return of Pumpkin Spice Lattes and bringing out the cozy sweaters.  Mostly I love Halloween and everything it entails...  Like the pumpkin patch!  Rutty, Nugget and I took a while to pick the most perfect pumpkins to be massacred.

These were the chosen victims we carved.  They were rotten before Halloween but they were still really cool. We ended up carving a few more closer to Halloween.  Rutty documented it in detail here

We went on the Stanley Park Ghost Train.  This year's theme was Alice in Nightmare Land.  It was so much better than the Pirate theme one from a couple of years ago.  This was one of my favourite displays.

This year Nugget had the best costume.  She was a Dia de los Muertos Catrina doll.  The dress we found at Winners and the head dress was a decorative piece for a mantle we found at HomeSense, we just shaped it to fit her head.  I did the makeup.

Rutty went as Dr.McNinja and I went as HitGirl from the movie Kick Ass.  Rutty elaborates more on the Halloween festivities at work and so on here.  Good times.

This was our Halloween Family photo with Nugget's friend Maya.

We accessorized her and did her makeup so she could be Catrina doll twins with Nugget.  She was more the rock star version, like Lady GaGa meets Day of the Dead.

Hurley was a shark.  A big scary shark.

Did I mention that in Autumn, pumpkin pie is totally acceptable breakfast fare?  I've had pumpkin pie for breakfast the last couple of days.

So tomorrow we pack up the Tickle Trunk of costumes to put in storage.  We need to make room for Christmas afterall.  Oh my god... Christmas.  I need to get started on my Christmas orders.
